High performing schools are the lifeblood of a community.  They not only represent a chance for young people to realize their potential, they also indicate the likeliness that  a community will experience economic growth in the future.  It's a fact, the cities that have the highest education rates contribute the most to our national economy.

The Lougheed Initiative promotes educational choice.  All parents and students should have the opportunity to choose the highest performing schools in their area, whether that is the public school in their neighborhood, a charter school close by, or a private school that supports the disadvantaged.
